LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT:

Fellow IMA’ers:

I started out my President’s letter with the above schedule because I want all of you to know the work that has gone on trying to put together this year’s programs. This is the result of your Board brainstorming and following up on ideas since June. While a number of meetings don’t have names with the topics, that simply means we haven’t confirmed the particular speaker we are pursuing. Also note the themes that are part of various meetings. These are meant to focus on particular segments of our membership. If you fall into one of them, please mark your calendar now for attendance. As per last year, you can register for any of the dinner meetings at our web site www.imanctriangle.org.

As mentioned in earlier letters, we have a significant change in how we are getting compensated this year. The compensation is tied partially to CPE credits for each member. If you go to the National web site, you find under your individual "portal" a place to input your CPE. That is the ideal way for you to report your CPE for credit to our chapter. However, if you would rather go to our chapter web site, we are planning on having a form for you to fill out to record your CPE. We intend for this process to be electronic and Kathy has done wonders with the web site. Please remember, this is not just CPE that you take through IMA. It is any CPE that qualifies as continuing education for any professional certifications whether put on through an accounting association, your employer or a professional seminar firm. If you report it to us, we will forward that detail to National IMA for credit to our chapter. I look forward to this year. I hope you do too. Per usual, I will put in my pitch for Board members in closing. We have six spots that need your help
