 Plant Controller

The following job description outlines the duties and responsibilities for the Plant Controller role.  What must be emphasized are the following guidelines for consideration:

The candidate MUST have manufacturing experience, specifically from the plant perspective (being on-site at a plant will be seen more favorably than a person who sits at a corp. headquarters and oversees remote plant locations)

Financial Analyst Position

 

Summary:

 

This Financial Analyst position assists with the consolidation and analysis of company financial information.  Critical responsibility is in support of the general ledger process and preparation of timely financial reports and projections for North America. Position reports to Finance Manager, North America in the division headquarters in Wake Forest, NC.

Job Requirements:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with 3-5 years experience

·         Strong financial analysis background and understanding of financial statements, budgeting process, and financial reporting

·         Works well both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, exciting environment

·         Expert user of the suite of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Access

·         Intermediate user of SQL database, Analytics software (Crystal, Cognos, Power Play), and Reporting software (FRX, IEV, Hyperion)

·         Previous experience with foreign currency transactions in a multiple entity environment

·         Previous experience with ERP system integration initiatives

·         Experience in a US publicly traded manufacturing company, under Sarbanes Oxley governance, is preferred

PLANT CONTROLLER

 CMA’s –  Company is looking for you for this plant controller position in the Cary Area. Here is your chance to be the financial right hand and to report directly to the General Manager of this local metal fabrication operation. With a dotted line report to the VP of Finance of the parent company, you will continue to develop your financial skills and will have interaction at the corporate level.  This position requires an accounting degree, CMA strongly preferred with the following experience: 

Job Costing & Analysis

-          Daily review of material & labor costs postings to current jobs

-          Quarterly review of standard labor & burden rates

-          End of job review of actual vs. planned costs and efficiencies

 Inventory

-          Management of year-end stock count

-          Management of periodic cycle counts

 Payroll & Benefits

-          Supervision of weekly payroll

-          Daily adjustments of time & attendance (as provided by shop floor supervisors)

 Reporting

-          Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual non-consolidated financial statements

-          Preparation of MD&A of above reports

-          Assisting VP Finance in preparing for quarterly Board meetings

 Projections / Forecasts

-          Preparation of annual Budget

-          Preparation & monitoring of periodic cash flow forecasts

-          Company will be upgrading its IT system, and this will require the plant controller to act as project manager on this upgrade

Product Marketing Manager - Financial Management
 

Description
As a member of the Global Marketing and Training Division, you will provide global marketing support for a suite of financial management solutions, including consolidation, budgeting, planning, and reporting.
 
Your duties will include creating and updating positioning statements, solution brochures, and other marketing collateral for finance-specific solutions; providing regular briefings to analysts and responding to analysts’ research queries; providing financial domain expertise in presales engagements with finance executives; supporting field marketing events, such as conferences and trade shows, by staffing trade show booths, obtaining speaking engagements, and identifying conferences where company can showcase our solutions; providing press quotes and interviews, writing articles for publication and reviewing advertising copy; providing input to Research and Development by conducting and analyzing market research and documenting market requirements for new and existing solutions; producing white papers, executive briefing documents, and magazine articles that further the use of analytics by the office of the CFO; and working closely with regional marketing operations to solicit input, ensure consistency and build consensus on key decisions.

Qualifications

Essential
 •  Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field;
 • 8 years of accounting and finance experience; or equivalent experience marketing or selling enterprise software into the office of a CFO.
 • Ability to travel at least 25 percent of the time.
 

Equivalent Essential
 • Associates degree, plus 10 years of the stated essential experience; or HS(GED) diploma, plus 12 years of the stated essential experience.

Additional
 •  Advanced understanding of accounting in areas such as consolidation, budgeting, planning and reporting.
 • Strong knowledge of financial management approaches with strong insight to how technology can improve business outcomes.
 • Strong public speaking skills
 • Ability to establish credibility and achieve positive impact in customer, analyst and press interactions.

Cost Analyst

Required Skills/Experience: 

        BS in Accounting/Finance with minimum 3 years combined experience as cost accountant, cost analyst with operational finance work experience in a manufacturing environment.  CPA/CFA a plus, but not required  (this role will be the primary accounting and finance interface with regional and global supply chain)

        In-depth experience with standard costing process and variance accounting and analysis, toll manufacturing processes, operating budgets and inventory accounting, valuation and control practices.

        Strong analysis skills with particular focus on product costing/product profitability, manufacturing cost budgeting, control and forecasting, inventory projections (includes purchasing and payables analysis and modeling)

        Cross-functional, operational/manufacturing process-oriented experience.  Process and working capital improvement experience in a team environment

        Ability and desire to train others in manufacturing, cost and inventory-related processes, controls and systems to develop an effective business control environment and improve forecasting capability

        Demonstrated ability to develop strong and effective relationships with operations and commercial teams

        Deep understanding and hands on experience with SAP (MM, PP, FI and CO applications), Hyperion and MS Office suite (Super-user status a plus)

Job Summary:   

Responsible for all cost and inventory accounting processes and systems and providing the technical accounting and controls expertise for the business unit. Establish, maintain and enforce cost and inventory-related business controls including policies and procedures for the business unit. Includes continuous training and education of the organization in cost and inventory business controls, policies and procedures.

Primary Finance liaison with Supply Chain Management team for developing product costs, manufacturing cost projections, inventory forecasts and related cost and inventory savings/reduction actions.   Operates as SAP super-user for MM, CO and PP applications.  Scope of role includes initiatives to improve supplier payment terms.

Accounting Manager  

 Eastern NC based manufacturer is looking for an Accounting manager. Duties/Responsibilities include Month End reporting, Variance analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting, Capex, etc. 

Requirements include a thorough understanding of Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment, BS in Accounting, 5 + years experience, 2 years minimum in Cost. 

Regional Business Analyst
 
Privately owned distributor of building supplies is looking for a Regional Business Analyst.

The Regional Business Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of quantitative business analysis and reporting for the southeast region (AL, FL, GA, MS, SC, NC, VA, TN).

Sr. Accountant  - Local manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (may vary depending on assigned level):   

·         Maintain the general Ledger, cash registers, interest payments, interest deposits, year end tax assistance, bank reconciliations, maintain binders, and periodic accruals as necessary. 

·         Maintain interest schedules and payments, wire payments quarterly, annually, deposit 1042’s, and distributions.

·         Coordinate and complete the LLC month end close process and produce all reports for month/year end close out, close and post AP/AR processes, enter weekly payroll to GL, standard entries, accruals, account reconciliation, inter-company reconciliation, rebates, royalties, inventory close out, print reports

·         Provide for monthly analysis of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss statements to support month end reporting.

·         Produce daily information on cash position and produce weekly cash flow projections, and complete monthly bank reconciliations.

·         Record wire payments, contact customers for payment, process periodic deposits at bank, mail invoices, and reconcile accounts.

·         Support all Accounts Payable functions including wire transfer payments, ACH transactions, and serving as a back-up resource to the Accounting Specialist who handles the Account Payable functions.  Assist in coordinating the activities of the Accounting Specialist by recommending priorities for vendor payments and other critical transactions such as royalties etc.

·         Prepare special cost analysis and update standard costs as directed by the Controller.  Provide for monthly journal entries related to inventory and manufacturing variances.

·         Provide for analysis of gross profit and product line profitability as directed by the management and assist in identifying standard practices for Cost of Goods analysis among various locations.

·         Assist Management in the annual budget process by preparing designated schedules and identifying base line changes and assumptions.

·         Maintain monthly audit schedules and Support year-end audit process as needed to insure accuracy of financial statements and to provide documentation of specified account balances. Maintain and validate accuracy of system reports to the general ledger and provide for good internal control and compliance.

·         Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

·         Maintain Petty Cash fund spending and provide good controls and reimbursement of fund as needed.

 Education Requirements: 

·         Bachelor’s degree, in accounting and/or business related field. CPA certification a plus but not mandatory.

 Minimum Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

o    Seven (7) years of accounting experience. Must be familiar with General Accounting Principles and have good understanding of General Ledger accounting. Must have well rounded understanding of cash flow, banking transactions and be able to provide analysis of net change in account balances and provide detail support for audit schedules, management reporting, general financial reporting and cost accounting.

o        Must have knowledge of or previous experience with accounting systems and packages. Excellent MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Excellent organizational skills for efficient office control. Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization.  Ability to analyze most complex financial data.
