Dear Fellow IMAers,
May I ask a fair question – since it’s May? When will we see some warm temperatures and bright sunshine? The weather has been almost as bad in the Triangle as it was living in Erie, PA.
The fact of the matter is May is our last regular monthly Dinner meeting for the current year. Please enjoy your summer months. Your IMA Chapter Board will meet each month during the summer to work on future events and Dinner meetings. Speaking of the Board – I’d like to ask each of you to become a Board member. There is a lot to do, and we need new inputs and ideas and concepts. How about stepping up and be involved in a more active way?
For our May dinner meeting, Mr. Doug McCallen from Caterpillar will speak on Creating Shareholder Value in Uncertain Times. He will discuss creating shareholder value versus earnings per share. Do you believe “Only the Paranoid Prevail” or is there a common sense approach to creating shareholder value? Please join us as Doug will provide an interesting and informative discussion.
We will also hear some inputs from the Spring Conference held on April 25 – 27, 2013 from some of the IMA members who attended the conference.
We will be voting on bylaws for the chapter. Beginning this year Global IMA has requested that all chapters approve specific Chapter bylaws. They will be attached to an email blast sent no later than 5/9/2013 and voted on 5/16/2013 meeting.
We will be recognizing our Past Presidents of our Chapter at the May meeting, as well as, recognizing distinguished guests for milestones of years of service being an IMA member!
As a reminder, anyone signing up for our dinner board meeting before the 10th of each month, your cost will be reduced by $5.00. Please go to our website and register via PayPal.
