Fellow IMA members,  

So far, 2010 is off to a great start, in the NC Triangle Chapter.  At the dinner meeting, we had an update in Labor Law.  Ted Kazaglis from Jackson Lewis gave us a 2009 year-in-review along with a 2010 outlook.  During the Lunch & Learn, Ed Lloyd from Financial Directions talked to us about Closely Held Insurance Companies, as an alternative to tradition general insurance coverage.

Please join us on Thursday, February 18^th, for a Tax update from Lance Hardin from Hughes, Pittman, Gupton in Chapel Hill.  Once again, the meeting will be held at the Hilton North Raleigh on Wake Forest Road.  I would also like to invite you to the February Lunch & Learn Series at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary.  Tom Turner and Jim Wilson from Clearview Solutions will present to us how to Automate the Financial Closing Process, on Tuesday, February 23^rd. 

We are excited to be finalizing the remaining topics for the spring, with more details coming soon.  In the meantime, don’t forget that John Brausch, the current Chair of the IMA Board of Directors, will pay us a visit for our March 18^th dinner meeting.  With all the changes in IMA that have announced recently, this will be a great meeting you won’t want to miss!
